Honoring Those Who Serve Our Country

Matt. 9:5 says, Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Living in the United States of America has been a blessing to us all.  There are freedoms that we enjoy, as well as a state of peace that is unquestionably respected by those who live in other countries around the world.  As we watch the news and observe the devastating effects of war in other countries, towns, cities, communities, families, and their economies, we should be thankful that there are soldiers who have chosen to be courageous enough to take the fight to the enemy and defend our country.  And while our own nation must reconcile itself back to God to be exalted as a nation of righteousness, God’s mercy has yet kept certain devastating dangers away from the borders of our land.

Knowing this, we truly thank God for the grace and strength that He has given our soldiers to fight in battle. We thank God for giving them the courage and faith to function on our behalf, so we can enjoy peace. We say thanks to our service men and women for having the courage to stay on their post and watch the wall day after day, night after night. Thanks for staying awake, pressing through dangerous elements – fighting thru physical pain and emotional stress for our sake.

Today, Pastor Mike, Lady Sumetra & the UVCF Church Family remember the work of you, our service men and women, and we tip our hats in honor of you just to say thanks. We pray that God continues to give you His power to carry out your assignments in battle. We speak God’s divine protection over the President of The United States, as Commander in Chief, and all of the military factions, domestic and abroad, which serve our country every day so we can enjoy peace and tranquility.  Again, we appreciate you for your labor on our behalf and pray God’s blessings be upon you.
