Psalm 107:25-31, For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end. Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Heavenly Father, You Are The God Who is able to send the storm and calm the storm. And so we exalt Your Name and we give You praise in the midst of it all. Because You love us with an unfailing love, and You have plans and purpose for us to fulfill, we ask and believe by faith for Your hand to protect Your people in Texas, Louisiana and the Gulf Coastal Region in Jesus’ make. We pray traveling grace for those seeking higher ground. Lord, bless and make a way for the elderly and the disabled, the innocent and the homeless. Lord, let door of many hearts be open now with compassion to help those in need. We thank You Lord for protecting our family members in these cities and across this nation wherever they may be, and we ask that You sustain and comfort them through the physical storms, as well as the storms of life in Jesus’ name. Lord, we pray that You get the glory out of the storms we’re facing today in Jesus’ name. Lord, cause hearts to be humbled to call upon the name of Jesus, that saints may rededicate their lives to Christ and sinners might be saved. Heavenly Father, be glorified and magnified in all of this. Thank You Lord for hearing our prayers tonight and we give You all the praise, glory and honor for these things being done in Jesus’ name. Amen.
