Leadership Focus 2016 – P7

Particular – Great leaders understand that one of the keys to excellence is being particular. They see the big picture and they have an eye for detail. Whether it is described as being picky or particular, leaders focus know the value of focusing on the details. They know that excellence is a byproduct of being able to think big and think small, so that the even the smallest aspect of the vision conveys the same message of excellence throughout. While being particular may seem frustrating for the present time, it challenges everyone working together to fine-tune their focus, and exchange the ordinary for the extra-ordinary as they work toward the common goal.  So today, I challenge you to continue to lead well, and embrace the concept of being a little more particular. #leadershipfocus2016 #growing #particular.

Walk of Faith Information Center 

For those who will be participating in our Walk of Faith tomorrow at 9am, here’s some important information you may need. Please be sure to arrive early so you can prepare physically for the 5K walk.  You will have time to stretch and take care of other needs you may have just prior to the walk. Our coordinators will be on hand to help you finalize any t-shirt orders you purchased online in advance. For those who have not purchased a t-shirt, and would like to purchase one on-site, there will be a very limited supply of designated sizes, so we do encourage you to arrive before 9:15am, as we expect all t-shirts will likely be sold-out by that time. We will then gather together for a brief corporate prayer, and then begin our Walk of Faith 2016.  If you have any questions or concerns, please forward them to us at uvcfchurch@gmail.com. Partnership – Partnerships play a key role in leadership. Good leaders know that when they set out to accomplish great things, two is always better than one. Partnering with others demonstrates leadership because it shows how much they value others participating in the process of growth and development in accomplishing the goal. Leaders understand that development is not just for the leader, but it’s also about positioning others to grow as they participate in doing something remarkable. Partnering with other like-minded people with gifts, specific talents, focus, and discipline helps the team reach the common goal much faster. Power – Leaders are people of power because they value the rewards of humility and submission. Great leaders don’t view submitting to leadership as a chore. Rather, they maintain a positive perspective on submission, because they know it is a key to accessing the power they need to get things done. Failure to humble yourself and submit to leadership will render you powerless. The reward of power and authority will only come to those remain under authority, and it will position you to have influence with others, and do greater things for the Kingdom of God. #growing #power #leadershipfocus2016
