Caution: How to break a fast

How to Break a Fast

When you are coming out of a fast, it is important to ease your body back into the process of digesting regular foods. Because your digestive system has most likely reduced enzyme production and affected the mucus lining in your stomach, overeating or ingesting certain foods too quickly may cause you to experience health problems such as nausea, stomachaches, or diarrhea. Introducing regular foods slowly and strategically will help you break a fast safely, without disrupting your digestive system.

Although we’ve provided this helpful information as a word of caution to help make it easier for you and your loved transition back into your normal dietary routines, we recommend you also follow your doctors advice. Thank you. Be blessed.

Fasting • Day 21

Jeremiah 29:7, And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Heavenly Father, You Are The Creator of Heaven and Earth. You Are The God of Every Nation and we stand in need of your blessings. Oh Lord, we pray for the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex & all neighboring cities. We pray for the State of Texas, and the United States of America. Heavenly Father, we ask and believe by faith for peace and that You anoint the peacemakers and give them more grace to help bring about peace in our cities. Lord we pray for the military men and women who serve and protect our country day and night. Lord, refresh them that they may be continually strengthened to protect and serve. Heavenly Father, we ask in Jesus’ name that You anoint the evangelists with wisdom to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world that they be equipped with Your prophetic word to expose and destroy yokes of racism, prejudice, hatred, doubt and confusion – that people all over this nation may be delivered and set free in Jesus’ name. Oh Lord, we ask and pray in Jesus’ name that You send revivals and let them break forth in UVCF Church, in churches across America, in our homes, on our jobs, in our neighborhoods and communities, in our schools and local businesses, in the corporate board rooms, in city council meetings, in the governors & mayor’s office, in the senate chambers, in the house of representatives, in all political parties, as well as the President’s cabinet, and his office chambers. Heavenly Father, we pray for President Donald Trump, his wife and family. Lord, You are able to turn the hearts of kings so Your word is fulfilled. Because You Are The Omnipotent God, You have all power in Your hands. So we ask by faith that You reach down and touch his heart. We Thank You Lord for interrupting all politics as usual to awaken us all spiritually. For You Are GOD, and there is none beside YOU. Lord, we ask that You send anointed leaders who are humble, have integrity of character, are full of the spirit, full of faith, wisdom and courage so that when they speak truth to power like Moses and Daniel, signs follow in Jesus’ name. Lord, protect them as they do Your will. Lord renew their strength and give them grace that is sufficient for the situations they face. Heavenly Father, we give You permission to step in and get involved in the affairs of our cities, our states, and our country. Lord, release the innocent from prison and let the criminals be captured in their own mischief in Jesus’ name. We believe by faith for crime reduction and peace in our neighborhoods, our city, and our country in Jesus’ name. Lord use these last days and difficult times for Your glory. We exalt Your Name Heavenly Father high above the heavens and give You all the praise for all these things being done in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Fasting • Day 20

Psalm 9:10, And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord , hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Heavenly Father, You Are Almighty God, Our All Knowing, Counselor, Deliverer, Defender, Our Refuge & Our Strength. You Are The Lord of Our Righteousness, You Are Our Healer, You Are Holy & Wonderful Is Your Name. Your Name Is Jehova-Jireh, The Lord Who Supplies All Our Needs according to Your riches in glory. We bless You Heavenly Father for sending Your Only Begotten Son, Jesus to die on the cross at Calvary and take our place in judgement so we could have a right to eternal life in heaven. For this, we magnify Your Name Oh God, for You Are Our Redeemer. Now we come to You Oh Lord asking that You cause our hearts to always be broken and in opposition to sin in our lives, that we repent quickly so we experience Your refreshing presence. Lord, equip us to share the gospel in such a loving way with those who are lost that many should be compelled to receive Jesus as their personal Lord & Savior. Lord use Your finger to write Your word upon our hearts so that we never forget it. Lord, give us a praying spirit that we may know Your will and intercede for our family, friends and loved ones who are far from You. Lord, we put our faith and complete confidence in You. For it is because of You Oh Heavenly Father that we are here today, and we for all these things we praise You & we give You all the glory, believing by faith all these things are done in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Fasting • Day 19

1 Peter 5:10, But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Heavenly Father, You Are The Lord of Our Rest. For it is Your will that all who are weary and heavy laden find rest in You. Lord we Thank You for Your yoke being easy and Your burdens are light. We Thank You that our present sufferings are not worthy to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us. Lord, we Thank You for making us perfect through JESUS Christ and perfecting our faith with the preaching of the word, and cause believers at UVCF Church and all who are in the body of Christ to be like trees planted by rivers of water. Heavenly Father, as we continue to drink from the fountain of Your Word, The Well that never runs dry, we confess every member of UVCF is growing stronger and stronger in faith, love, understanding, wisdom, courage, discipline, faithfulness, charity, honor, integrity, hope & resilience – finding complete rest in You. Oh Lord, You Are Our Sovereign God, and You make no mistakes. You Are The Lord God Almighty, and there is none more powerful than You. And so we ask by faith Lord that You give every member of UVCF the grace to be settled so we remain the fruit of Your righteousness – even in difficult times, walking worthy of call to follow peace with all men holiness without which no man shall see The Lord. Heavenly Father, we pray for a fresh Outpouring of The Holy Spirit to strengthen us, lead us and guide us into all truth. And we will praise and magnify Your Holy Name for the wonderful works You have done and will do for us. Lord, You Are The Author & Finisher of our faith. And we ask, confessing & believing by faith that all these things are done now in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Fasting • Day 18

John 13:34-35, A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Heavenly Father, We thank You for demonstrating Your love toward us first. Because of Your loving-kindness toward us, we love You, and we answer Your call to love one another. Now Lord we ask that our faith increases to understand Your love so that our love for one another grows more and more. Lord, we pray in Jesus’ name that grow in the knowledge of Your love that is continual and never fails. We pray for this love to be in us, working through us, and for us in Jesus’ name. We pray Oh Lord for this ever-increasing love to be in our homes, our families, in marriages between husbands & wives, mothers & daughters, fathers & sons, between our neighbors in our community, between our colleagues at work, and among our members at UVCF Church. Heavenly Father, we ask that You forgive us for where we have failed to walk in Your love, and we ask that You fill us with the power of Your Holy Spirit, that we may be strengthened in good times and in difficult times to walk by faith in the love You have commanded. We confess this greater love is uniting us and positioning us for greater blessings and favor. For these things, we praise You and magnify You, Our Heavenly Father for showing us Your amazing grace. And we ask in faith, believing Your will is done in our lives in Jesus’ name. Amen.
