Day 3: Fasting & Praying

1 Corinthians 4:1-2, Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Heavenly Father, You Are Holy. You are Righteous. And You Are Our Faithful God. Lord, You are faithful to every promise in Your word and we declare You are faithful to perform it. When we needed food, clothing and shelter, Lord, You provided. When we were sick and our bodies were in pain, Lord You healed us. When we were in danger, You rescued us. When friends walked away, You were still there. When we lost our direction, You helped us find our way. So Lord we thank You for always being faithful, loving and merciful toward us. And now Lord, we confess our sins, for not being faithful to You oh God. Lord, we repent and ask in Jesus’ name that the blessings of the Kingdom of heaven now fill our hearts, that we come to know and accept our high calling as ministers of Christ Jesus, to live as faithful stewards in everything we do. We ask in faith, believing for the refreshing presence of the Holy Spirit to help us to remain faithful in discipleship. Holy Spirit, strengthen us to be faithful when we don’t feel like it. Show us how to put our feelings in check when faithfulness is required to serve effectively. Give us strength to press our way when times are difficult. Lord, give us the courage to rebuke the enemy at every turn, so our blessings are not hindered or delayed because of our unfaithfulness. Lord we pray this grace for faithfulness be upon us exceeding abundantly for this year, so that as we grow in Christ and mature as saints of The Most High God, that we are able to teach others also through our obedient demonstration, and that the favor on our life might compel the young and the old to be faithful in Jesus’ name. Lord we thank You for all the fellowship of believers of the household of faith. We thank You Lord for the faith we have already received. We thank You giving us a heart to be in fellowship with the saints, and for the many blessings we have as members of the body of Christ. We pray now Lord that You continue to give us fresh ideas, new strategies and innovative approaches that inspire more opportunities for Christian fellowship among the saints and those You are yet calling to be saved, that miracles and breakthroughs might happen suddenly in Jesus’ name. Lord remind us to be accountable to You, accountable to Your word and accountable to the saints, and being a hedge of protection for us in Jesus’ name. Lord, increase our faith to higher levels and dimensions. Send faith partners to our church and surround us with Christian friends who are saved, who trust in the word of God above their own wisdom, and encourage us to seek the blessing of mutual Christian accountability. Lord, bless us with friends who we can trust to speak the truth in love, who will not condemn us should we fall, or make mistakes, but who will be there to help restore us in the spirit of meekness because they truly desire to see nothing hindering us from going to our next level in You Lord – living out our purpose to glorify You Oh God. Lord bless husbands and wives to be faithful to one another. We pray parents are faithful to their children. Lord give us the grace to live according to Your will so we can be an example to the next generation. We pray these blessings be upon us, our children and our grandchildren, so they too can know and experience the blessings of God’s protection and favor that comes with true accountability among the saints, and the hedge of protection for them in Jesus’ name. Lord, we even pray now that the powerful message of Your love and grace at work in our lives ministers to those outside the four walls of our sanctuary, so people in the world may see the love we have for one another, and are compelled by the love of God to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We pray this year be a year we receive a fresh stirring in our spirit, a revival to be faithful at a higher level, a revival in our hunger for fellowship like never before, and a commitment to be accountable as saints of The Most High God, so that we keep our lamps trimmed and burning to do Your will, and are found faithful in all that we do – even until the Jesus Christ our Lord returns. Lord, Your Name is Jehova-Jireh. You are Our Provider. These promises are in Your will. And we live in expectation of receiving all these blessings. And so we praise Your Holy Name in advance, and give you all the glory and honor for these things we confess by faith and believe are done now in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
