Day 7, Fasting & Praying

Ephesians 4:11-13, And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Heavenly Father, You Are Our God Who Shepherds Us. You know exactly what we need spiritually and when we need it. And so we Thank You for the gifts of the apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers You have given to perfect us, strengthen and build us up for the work of the ministry, that we also may have the grace we need to carry out our Kingdom assignments. And so as they labor in prayers for the saints, studying, preparing, preaching, teaching, prophesying, exhorting, leading, mentoring, counseling, comforting, visiting the sick, and tending to the needs of Your people, we ask that You bless the 5-fold ministry gifts, as well as the ones You are calling. Heavenly Father, we ask that You also speak to the next generation of apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers at UVCF Church, and throughout the body of Christ across the world in Jesus’ name. We come against every attack of the enemy that would suggest they quit or throw in the towel. We bind up all sources of discouragement, bitterness, deception, depression and hopelessness and we cast them out in Jesus’ name. We pray for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Lord bless them with a unshakeable conviction to press toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus. Give them the faith that will not fail, so they rebound to bring glory to Your Name. Lord we thank You for giving them a heart that is after Your heart – hearts of servants, who love people and long to see people receiving Jesus and growing in Christ. Lord, let Your anointing increase and rest upon each of them abundantly, so we all may be perfected, equipped and unified more and more, growing up and maturing in the fullness of Christ Jesus. Lord bless the apostles as they plant churches, and set those You have called in place to shepherd the people, to nurture and feed the babes in Christ so they may be firmly rooted in the word of God and be filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit. Lord send Your word to the prophets. Let them echo prophetic words from heaven with clarity to shift us corporately and individually into our destiny, into the next season of blessings You have for us in Jesus’ name. Lord bless the evangelists and protect them on their journeys as they travel from city to city, from country to country, and around the world, to spread the gospel of Jesus to those in new places. Lord bless pastors and give them grace to shepherd Your people with Your love and genuine care. Lord bless the teachers. Give them wisdom, understanding, insight and a deeper revelation of Your word that they may teach and train up the church in the ways of The Lord. Order their steps oh Lord, and release Your word in this season, so our faith in You God is continually built up in these last days and Your people are fortified from every weapon of the enemy in Jesus’ name. Heavenly Father, as each of these gifts You have called pours out what You give to them this year, we ask that You restore them and refill them with a double portion of Your grace so they succeed in every area of life and in ministry in Jesus’ name. Yes Lord, we ask that You make their burden of ministry easier and lighter this year in Jesus’ name. Give them the grace that they may be able to bear it with integrity and excellence in Jesus’ name. Heavenly Father, take each of these 5-fold gifts higher in the revelation knowledge of Your Son Jesus, that we all might answer the call to come up higher in Jesus’ name. Lord, we pray for their personal success, the success of their families, their relationships, their homes, their jobs, their businesses, and the churches You’ve called them to lead. And Lord we ask that You continue to cause new doors to open wide for them, doors of utterances and doors of blessings, that they may be blessed with financial favor and help advance Your Kingdom agenda in Jesus’ name. And so we Thank You Heavenly Father for these special gifts You have given to us. And we declare we are victorious through Christ Jesus. And we give You all the praise, all the glory and all the honor for these things we believe are done now in Jesus’ name. Amen.
