Our Official Statement on the Coronavirus

Good Evening Members of UVCF Church,

As you are probably aware by now, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has impacted people around the world, in our nation and locally, there are confirmed cases also in the Dallas County area. And so out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to take additional steps to ensure all of our members will be safe while in our facilities at United Vision.

And so effective this Sunday, we will be suspending our morning classes and begin hosting only one worship service at 9:30am. Our prayer and Bible Studies will be available via conference call.

Also, in order to to limit any further opportunity for unwanted bacteria to spread, to ensure your safety, and the safety of those who serve, NO FOOD OR DRINKS will be served in our cafe until further notice.

We ask that if you are experiencing symptoms that similar to the cold or flu, we encourage you to stay home and rest. Consult your physician as soon as possible, so your health can be fully restored.

Additionally, we’re asking all of our members, visitors, volunteers and guests to join us in our BE HEALTHY, BE SAFE initative, as we exhibit strict hygiene practices in this season to cut down on the opportunity of spreading any unwanted bacteria. So you and your family can be protected, during each of our services, we will be encouraging and reminding all children and adults to be sure to wash your hands thoroughly for 20 seconds if you use the restroom, as well as use either personal hand sanitizer wipes, or receive hand sanitizer gel that our hospitality team will provide for you before, during, and after each service. We will also be cleaning our facilities before and after services. Yes. we know this may seem a bit much. But we’d rather everyone be safe than sick. And so I kindly ask that you join us for our #BEhealthy #BEsafe initiative.

Now as we proceed with caution, because we are saints of the Most High God, we are not walking in fear, but we are collectively walking in power, love, and a sound mind that God has given us. We have the gift of the Holy Spirit who also reminds us that no weapon formed against us shall be able to prosper, and that the blood of Jesus is covering us daily during this pandemic. And so we walk by faith, continuing in prayer for God to release the wisdom for those in the medical field that they may find the cure in Jesus’ name. Nevertheless, in spite of it all, in times like these, it’s good to know that God is still God. He changes not. And there is nothing too hard for Him.

And so I encourage you to continue in prayer, knowing that this too shall pass. Keep your mind stayed on God, and He will keep you in perfect peace. Be blessed. Keep Living The Gospel of Jesus Christ On Purpose. And we look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely, Pastor Mike Reed

#BEsafe #BEhealthy
