Confess: Lord, We Welcome Your Correction

Hebrews 12:11, No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening–it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. (NLT)

Father God in heaven, I thank You for being The Father Who Corrects Us!  For Your love for us is unfailing. Your word is truth and it sanctifies me – sets me apart for Your service. And so I confess, that while Your correction may be painful at times, I will not allow the pain of being corrected to keep me from the peaceful harvest that You have planned for me. I will purpose to walk, and continue to walk in the calling and purpose You have preordained for my life. And so today, I confess there is a harvest of peace in every area of my life that I cannot fully explain. I welcome every moment of correction from The Lord, for it causes my life to line up in agreement with God’s perfect will in heaven. Now Heavenly Father, grant me the patience I need in this growing season. For I declare, You are able to finish every good work that You start in me. Oh God, Let my life bring glory to Your Name. For I confess and declare these things are done, in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Savior & Lord, we pray. Amen.   – Pastor Mike Reed/UVCF Church
