7 Day Fast Begins Today, July 6 -12

Feel free to join with us as we begin our 7 Day Fast to Hear from God starting today, Monday – Sunday (July 6 – July 12th).  Yes, we are believing that God will speak to us individually and corporately concerning His will for our lives in these last days.  Expect the refreshing of The Lord.

Special instructions for the fast:

  • Fasting for 7 days, July 6 – 12
  • Step 1: Humble yourself & spend quality time with God in prayer.
  • Step 2: Read the Word of God seeking to know His will.
  • Step 3: Ask God to speak to your heart.
  • Step 4: Listen for His voice.
  • Step 5: Take notes on what He says.
  • You may eat fruit, vegetables, water, or all natural fruit juices
  • For those who have medical requirements or other dietary restrictions, please govern yourselves according to your doctor’s orders and best medical advice.

UVCF: 7 Days – Fasting to Hear from Heaven

Good Morning Beloved Saints of our Heavenly Father,

This is Pastor Mike Reed, Pastor of United Vision Christian Fellowship Church. And I believe that we are living in the last days. Over the past few weeks, I have had a witness in my spirit to call a fast, because I believe that we must hear clearly from God in this season.  As we see what is happening in our country and around the world, I do believe it is part of satan’s strategy to flood the airways with as much controversy and chaos as possible in order to distract the focus and attention of you and I, Citizens of The Corporate Body of Christ. Yes, I believe this strategy is an all-out effort to use his demonic wiles as a form of entertainment to make spectators and bystanders of Christians all around the world. Why? Because the devil knows that if he succeeds in this distraction effort, it can keep many from uniting in their faith in God, and ultimately cause many to lose hope and give up on the promises of God.

And so this fast is about us humbling ourselves to focus in and hear from God, so that we might receive the promise of spiritual refreshing that only comes from God. This fast is so you and I will have the courage to continue walking by faith in these last days in order to carry out God’s divine purpose for our lives, despite the issues facing the world we live.

Therefore, it has been impressed upon my heart to call a 7 Day Fast.  And I’m asking all those who will, to stand in agreement with me in prayer and fasting over these next 7 days, as we seek the Lord to hear His voice.  As usual, we will post a scripture each day so you might have a prayer focus. However, as you fast over the next 7 days, I exhort you to spend some quiet time listening for God’s voice to speak directly to you.  I also encourage you to take notes so that when He speaks, you can record what The Lord has spoken. Psalm 119:105 says, [His] word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Beloved, there’s nothing more comforting than to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you are going in the right direction, and as you walk by faith, you have complete confidence in the steps you are taking because they have been ordered by God.

Beloved, we are greater together than we are apart.  So I ask that you join with me these next 7 days as we seek to hear from God.  I thank you in advance for joining me in the fast on this week, and I pray that you hear God’s voice clearly.  God’s grace be upon you.
